Linux distros other than Ubuntu

edited April 2008 in Technology
Well, as a few of you may know, Ubuntu has been giving me problems trying to access the internet wirelessly on my Dell inspiron 1501. Instead of busting my ass even more than I already have to try to get it online with Ubuntu, I'm considering just uninstalling Ubuntu and trying out another distro.

So yeah, what are some other good ones you guys would recommend (bonus points if you know whether or not getting wireless internet on it is a pain in the ass or not)?

  • If you are already familiar with Ubuntu or linux in general on other computers then I really like Arch linux. It's tougher to get into but the results you get are pretty awesome.
  • Ubuntu is the easiest by far. If it doesn't work in that, you're going to have an even harder time getting it to work with anything else.
