    The only thing I can think of to make this more ridiculous is if there was a major plot threat about people who undergo genetic manipulation or cybernetic enhancement for the sole purpose of playing cards better.
    It's called Red Bull and rich parents.

    I have read the majority of the original series in manga form and I must say that the story had a lot of dark overtones for it's entirety, it would be the dub that messed everything up as usual.

    No, its not hardcore enough. This show needs need roving post-apocalyptic gangs of cyborg and mutant card players.
