Stupid Firefox keeps freezing
Every bloody time I download something, it freezes. In order for it to work again, I need to kill it, use ctrl+alt+delete to end the firefox.exe task thing (I believe that's the proper tag for it..) and then reboot it. I can restore the session, but it's no use if I need to download some homework from my email to my hard drive.
Any way to fix this permanently?

If you don't have that, go into the properties on your firefox icon and add "-safemode"* at the end of the target.
*- not 100% sure on this. I'm gonna go check.
EDIT: Yeah, I have no idea what to put at the end of the target....so just go scrounge around your start menu.
Go to the Windows command line.
cd to the directory where Firefox is installed.
This command will show all the different things you can do with Firefox on the command line
firefox.exe -help
This command will start Firefox with no plugins/extensions/etc. so you can figure out what the issue is.
firefox.exe -safe-mode
This command will launch the profile manager, so you can see what profiles you have, and which one is the default.
firefox.exe -ProfileManager
Really people. Firefox 2 is a piece of shit. Firefox 3 might still be beta, but it's the way to go. If there are no extensions or plugins you absolutely need that are not yet updated for Firefox 3, you should switch.
