If he used a controller for I want to be the guy it might be able to detect the controls even when it's out of focus. FYI: the difficulty of each game would make doing both near impossible.

You didn't need to tell me that. I have first-hand experience in the difficulty of I wanna be the guy, and I've heard a lot about the difficulty of Dwarf Fortress.
I wanna be the guy accepts keyboard controls when out of focus, so I guess it would do the same with a controller.
Does anyone here use an XBox 360 controller with their PC? I know they sell them in special "for Windows" packaging, but they charge more for those. Will a normal wired 360 controller work?
I noticed Steam updated Source and added a two joystick option to the settings. I'm not sure where my wired controller is right now, has anyone recently tried it on a Source game?
Ok, I played your IWTBGT. Piece of shit, waste of time. That is all.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, internet!
lol I'm disappointed, but it's a very small proportion of people that bother to play a couple of screens, and a smaller still proportion that bother to finish it. Nonetheless, those people who do bother to play a bit do so because they have seen something in this game that is awesome.

This is your opinion.
Well, logically, considering the nature of the game, to keep playing it means that indeed you have found awesomeness in it, or that there is something wrong with you.
I admit that in my case there is a good chance of the latter, but I was guessing that it did not apply to everyone else who played the game somewhat also. Even so, seeing something awesome in the game doesn't mean it's actually there, nor did I imply that this was the case
Oh noes, difference of opinions!!!!111one. Whatever will I do... Suicide is too good for me now, I must subject myself to suffering extended over as long a period of time as possible...

Then logically there is something wrong with a game which requires an amount of discouraging play before it reveals it's merits. To be frank (or Fred, as it happens), I dislike your attitude that there is something wrong with people who dislike the game you like. If I like it, I like it. If I don't I don't. I have not played it but your attitude has caused me to think badly of it.
because they have seen something in this game that is awesome.
I only like IWBTG because of the insane videos of it on Youtube. And I can see, and have felt, how great of an acomplishment it can be when you manage to finish a part of the game successfully. However, I do not have the patience to try something 100 times between every two save points.
Hmmmm. I pretty much enjoyed it from the start, and when I finished it, oh mans, that was one hell of an achievement. I guess you're right - there's something wrong with both the game and anyone who enjoys it (the correct term is probably "masochism").
Still, it does seem like some of the people who play it see awesomeness in it, even if this is merely a twisted view of reality.

You misunderstood me. What I meant is that there is something wrong with people who like the game, not dislike it.

Or would they?
I wanna be the guy accepts keyboard controls when out of focus, so I guess it would do the same with a controller.
In any case, I'm sure there's a way to enable two people to play two different games simultaneously at the same computer.

They need not be the same.
