Soviet Posters

On a recent school trip to Washington DC, I picked up this book of Soviet propaganda posters at the National Spy Museum. It is awesome.

    My Russian friend showed me an original of an awesome Soviet propaganda poster with a giant red knight representation of the Warsaw Pact and a puny NATO knight, both wielding missiles, along with a bunch of Russian text that he translated for me. If anything, the Soviets were really good at propaganda.

    Facinating stuff, Soviet Porpaganda. But then with such a large, expansive empire you need a form of communication that everyone can insantly recognise and pictures do just that. Thanks for the head's up on the book.
