I never played the PokemonCrater game but...

The domain currently resolves to nintendo.com and there are rumors floating that Nintendo has plans to relaunch the site.

I have a strong feeling that if they do it will be as some sort of Pokemon MMO that will cost money.

I wouldn't have believed it, but there it is: pokemoncrater.com does indeed now redirect to Nintendo. You're right - if that isn't telling of something in the works, not much else is.

I found a lot of links around the web about the relaunch but the majority (Google results) lead to 404 pages. I did not try and check the Google cache on them.

They will probably go after a payment plan like Maplestory because that's the audience that likes pokemons.

I don't know. I hear Pokemon Crater, and the first thing I think of is that awful Mystery Dungeon game...
