I got my copy in this week and tried it for 30 minutes last night.
I'm not so impressed with the Wii controls. I was expecting controls as polished as Metroid Prime Corruption and they are not even half way there. To make matters worse the game only runs in 480i. I know the Wii is not a graphics powerhouse but, 480i???
Another big problem is that the game is dark. Very dark. Dark to the point that in the beginning you are descending a shaft and die because something you can not see kills you. I made it past that point but I still do not know what I did to avoid the thing I could not see.
There are few to no visual clues of what to do in the game. Sometimes you will see an image of a button to press on screen (A button, - Button, etc...) while other times you just have to mash buttons hoping you will hit the right one. Expect to die a lot before you master jumping (it involves shaking the nunchuk).
Yes, this is a motion sickness game. Mostly because of the very low levels of light.
I have a copy for the 360 and one for the Wii. Once I play both copies I may revise my opinion of the game but so far it looks like a game that is going to suck but be remembered as something that was "game changing".
Yes, there is a blink button in the Wii version too.
Yes, it is a mature game. Yes there is swearing the game.
One other problem: when checking your inventory there is no text bubble to tell you what something is. I have three or four things in my jacket and no idea what any of them are. One of them was a flashlight but I have no idea which one it was.
After extensive play time I have written my review. Here is the short version:
Game sucks. You die a lot because of things you can not see. Serious lack of visual clues as to what items you can interact with. limited save points. Wii version is shorter and dumbed down from 360 version.
