    I've been thinking of getting the 50mm f/1.8 for my T3i. I got the 18 - 135 and it doesn't handle close ups as well as I'd like.

    This (Canon T2i) is what I got for $850. I really like it! Just wish it could auto focus while recording video. I took some pictures of my kids with it that look really good. I didn't even photoshop them. If you're on google+, let me know and I can throw you in a circle to see them.
