Toolbars

I'm looking for a starting point to write a toolbar app for IE/FF. I tried looking for some books but I have not been able to find anything directly related to building a toolbar.

Does anyone have experience building toolbars?
Can anyone recommend a good site or book with the relevant information?

    Makes perfect sense. You have Firefox experience with building toolbars and Firefox is a good book with information on how to build a toolbar.
