The Stand Ins by Okkervil River.
In case you guys don't already know, Okkervil River fucking rocks. Will Sheff's vocals are great, and his lyrics are a bit like Lou Reed meets Stephin Merritt. The music is rooted in folk and country music, but all their songs carry a melancholic and dark mood that you can't really find in any similar bands. Here's the song For Real from Black Sheep Boy:

Anyway, their new album has met my expectations, which is pretty difficult given how wonderful last years The Stage Names was. Here's the song Lost Coastlines from the new record:

I highly recommend checking this album out, and, if you like it, give The Stage Names and Black Sheep Boy a shot. They aren't nearly as polished as The Stand Ins, but I still really like 'em.
