Snacking While Gaming or On The Computer

edited October 2008 in Everything Else
What do you like to snack on while playing games or at your computer?

I got mine right here next to me. A can of Diet Dr. Pepper and a single pack of Planters Salted Peanuts.

  • Being in college, my answer would be either whatever I have in my fridge (which lately is Powerade and soda) or whatever random food that I have leftover from the previous meal.

At home though, it's usually a fruit of some kind (grapes are good), accompanied by a coke.
  • Generic brand party mix nuts bag, Smarties, almonds, peanuts, cashews. Economic and not completely unhealthy.
  • What's your favorite gaming snack?

Also, I don't snack at my computer. I prefer to not have a sticky and gross keyboard or mouse, thank you very much.
  • Japanese rice crackers and a glass of water or juice. When the weather starts getting cold I like sipping hot cocoa <3
  • Usually I am not eating or drinking when I am doing something that requires attention. Television or movies that I want to pay attention to do not let me eat since my attention is given to the entertainment and I forget about the food around me.
But during boring cartoons or something, I am quite a fan of Milanos or animal crackers. The amount of money I want to spend on snacks really makes my decision for me.

I like to snack on grapes, almonds and iced tea. These things don't stick to my keyboard.

  • If I'm gaming on the computer, my hands are not usually free for snacking. I also hate getting crumbs in the keyboard and such. If there are snacks involved, I eat them right before gaming. Also, I don't have snacks tied to specific situations. I just eat whatever snack I feel like at whatever time I feel like eating one.
  • I usually snack on whatever I have around. But like Apreche, I snack whenever I want and whatever I want, though I use keyboard cleaners quite frequently because I eat lunch at my computer and crumbs are inevitable.
  • Mostly tea, sometimes juice or hot cocoa.
  • I do not allow myself to snack at the keyboard. Drinks are a must though. I usually have a Nalgene full of ice water at my feet at all times. Condensation on the desk is no good.
  • Dried mango and ice tea or water.
  • I usually have a Nalgene full of ice water at my feet at all times.
    Enjoy your cancer.
  • I usually have drinks with me at the computer - Tea being a favorite. As for Snacks, I generally eat something that doesn't leave residue on my fingers, like haribo sweets or M&Ms.
  • I always have either a glass of water or cool mint tea. If it's wintery, I'll have hot tea or coffee. If it's morning, I am drinking coffee.

As for snacks, I keep anything I eat far away from my keyboards. I sometimes snack on Cheez-Its or other things, especially when I'm at work (and hence don't care as much for the keyboards).

I won't eat anything oily (pizza, croissants) without washing my hands twice before using the keyboard.
  • I usually grab a soda.
  • I have an orange before every intense Insurgency binge, and I always come out in the top 5.
  • I usually have some water, or if I'm really hungry I eat a banana real quickly.

I usually just eat any snack I can get (which isn't very often): Pretzels, Sodas, Doritos, Cookies (non ruffled), etc. However my usual gaming diet consists of the following. Milk, Juice, or water for drinks. For the foodstuffs, I usually eat some carrots, sandwiches, and whole bunch of other stuff.

  • Gummy bears! or green tea.. gum... chocolate covered peanut butter balls.
  • Nothing. I don't like getting my keyboard/ds/controller/whatever sticky or crumby. Otherwise I just eat whenever. I don't tie snacking to certain activities.
  • Ginger ale, lemonheads or any other citrus-flavored candy that can be sucked on, and ginger snaps(possibly with tea).

Just move away from/put down your input device and consume your food. Afterwards, go back to typing/pressing on you input device.
  • When working on the computer (I rarely ever game on my computer)I usually have a big bottle of Mountain Dew, which i know is unhealthy, but it keeps me up.
I don't really eat snacks, but I do eat heroes. My favorite being chicken parm with bacon. Yum.

Then I don't consider it a "gaming or on the computer" snack. It's more of a "I'm taking a break from gaming or the computer in order to eat" type of snack.

    :D

    Enjoy yourcancer.
My understanding was that if used for an extended period of time it gives cancer. Unfortunately I usually lose a Nalgene bottle every 3 months or so for some dumb reason or another.

  • You eat...heroes? You villainous villain you.
  • Chips and soda. The trick is too not get those kind of chips that have a coating on them like Doritos. The drink should be capped so you don't spill, and is great for those unbearable load times.

  • I love sitting at my computer with an icy cold glass of coke. As for eating, only if I'm in the middle of a Dota game, and I know I won't have time to finish the game and then eat before I have to do something. Usually my food gets cold if I try to eat at the PC. I wish we had Dr. Pepper over here, I like it more than coke, too bad.

Huh. I guess I don't have any official snacks - I just eat whatever is around - usually my dinner or lunch. I don't know how, but there's almost no mess, ever.
Condensation on the desk is no good.
Coasters for teh win. Get some cheapo ones, or make some out of a crap CD or floppy disk.

EDIT: Oh my I forgot about the thread -I- made. :O
