Games we ordered this weekend.

edited July 2006 in Board Games
I ordered the following from Fun Again yesterday. I just wanted to share. Anyone play any of these?

Blokus
Rat-a-tat Cat
Havoc: The Hundred Years War
Caesar & Cleopatra
Rage

(yes I know two of these are kids games, I have young kids).

I also wanted to get Hive and Railroad Tycoon, but they were sold out.

  • Believe it or not, I've never played any of those games. In fact, the only one I've heard of is Blokus.
  • My family just got a copy of Blokus yesterday. It's a lot of fun, and is a great intro to the more strategical boardgames for little kids: It's simple enough that my little brother's 7 and 8 year old friends had no trouble with it, yet with enough strategy that my father and I have a lot of fun competing.

I've heard of Caesr and Cleopatra, but the others I've not seen around. There's a great store near my house, though, that specialises in german board games, so I might go look them up.

I also picked up a copy of Bang! and it's expansion, Dodge City, while I was there. They're a simple, fun italian card game about the old west. Lends a new meaning to "Spaghetti Western". They're also really popular in my circles up at RIT recently.
