Drama CDs

edited November 2008 in Everything Else
Anybody have any to recommend?

I just finished the Gundam 00 one (totally wacky AU school story. Graham Acre is a perverted teacher, Setsuna is really annoying, Tieria has to pretend to be a girl to spy on Louise, and Hallelujah is a total yankee).
Now I am in mood for more manga/anime CDs. I want to take a break from podcasts and listen to some Japanese while I work.

  • 12Kingdoms: which I would recommend only after finishing the later half of the anime; the domestically released light novels have not yet caught up to this point.

Skip Beat: (Did you really think I would take an opportunity to not recommend this again? ^_^) Also: Check out the manga for Tokyo Crazy Paradise (Futuristic Yakuza Shoujo, written by the same author)
  • Maico 2010?
  • I found some Tenchi ones a while ago on a download. I can't say anything about the content since I can't understand Japanese.

Have you tried watching the drama Change?

Very good political comedy and good acting.

I have some links to fan subs if you need them also. While its not a drama CD your should be able to listen to it and make sense of it due to most of it being humor within the dialog.

I can't vouch for the content of the CD, but the art is gorgeous.
  • You know, if we could get some people with decent voices to record stuff, doing this in english would be like doing a radio play, kinda...
  • As with the OS-tan sim game, I'd be in.
  • @Funfetus: All of the download links seem broken.

I'd be up for something like this. My accent may sound a bit out of place but I have some very basic acting experience.
