I bet! However, the opportunity cost of buying the memory in NY is waaaay too high. Unless there is a place right around the corner of the MoCCA festival, or on the way from 55-59 Chrystie Street / Hester Street (where my bus drops me off) I'll rather do other stuff in when over there.
That is the China Town area, but I don't see any places on google maps that are close and cheap. Really, retail isn't cheap anymore. If you want cheap you have to order on Newegg or Amazon. If you need one very badly, it's probably easiest to just go to Best Buy or some other obvious store. It might be a bad price, but the convenience and time savings will be worth it.
Also, let us know when you are getting to NY, so we can find you.
Timo, I don't know if you care butrenegade craft fairis also this weekend! Google image it to see if you'd be interested.
Damn, I'll attend the Laser Event at NYC Resistor on Saturday and the MoCCA festival on Sunday. I'd really like to attend this festival as well, but I guess it wont happen.
I think this is like the most awesome weekend of the year. I don't know why all these events are clustered together. I'm googling that laser event.

So, if you're in Boston in the future feel free to step by the MIT Science Fiction Society library. We've got the largest publicly accessible open shelf English science fiction library in the world, and you can find out when its open here. And any librarian on duty should be able to give you the SF&F equivalent of "Anime You Should See" or report them to me. I
If you want tech stuff cheap, MIT's swapfest occurs on the third Sunday of every month from spring through fall.
f you know something at MIT you want to see I might be able to help, but don't ask me to take you roof and tunnel hacking, or get you into Steer Roast.
Ah Steer Roast. MIT was accidentally put in Playboys top 10 party schools one year because the reviewers came for that event. I suppose it must have been the mud wrestling.
