  • Also, when I find a new awesome song I listen to it like crazy until I'm tired of it. Then I move onto something new. When new things don't show up, I circle around back and find something old that I wore out a long time ago, but have forgotten so it's like new again.
Are you saying you literally listen to one song in a loop until you are done with it "forever"?

Oddly enough, I'd say youtube has been the biggest help for finding new music. I mean, you gotta know where people are passing around decent links, but I think it's weird how much music is actually on there.. even super obscure stuff

Not on a loop, but a fuckton. Multiple times a day. If it's a really good song, I just can't get enough. Then I'm not done with it forever, but for awhile. Then eventually it comes around and is like new again.

I also do this. I suspect my tolerance for repetition is higher than yours, though. Sometimes, it takes me months to really listen to an album, because I get so focused on one song.

I've also stopped listening to bands for years at a time because of the burnout this generates.

Example I listened to the End of Eva tumbling down song about a bajillion times in 2000/2001. Haven't really listened to it in about a decade. Now it's like new again. ZOMG.
  • I tend to buy my music off of Bandcamp, however ever since I switched over to Amazon Cloud for my music I am leaning towards purchasing some things there. Also I have been slowly adding music to Amazon as a check to make sure that it is in the right format and that all of the MP3 tags I care about are correct.
