It's time to remind you that Come out and Play NYC is coming! Mark your calender and book the games you'd like to participate in. If you're around the nyc area on June 12th to 14th you should really check it out.

Start Time: Saturday June 13 at 4 PM
Location: Festival HQ at the The Tank (354 W 45th St. between 8th/9th Aves)
# of players: Unlimited
Duration: Throughout the festival with finale on Sunday at 2 PM
Required: Players must bring a cameraphone or digital camera

This game unites players from New York City, Beijing and Shanghai and challenges them to explore their cities and take unusual and playful interpretive photos. The goal is to explore the city and find ways that make each city similar and contrast from each other. This game has 3 rounds played over each day of the festival, and each player has 12 hours per round to take photos and upload them to the website. The photo prompts will change each day and will build off previous player’s prompts and voting.

The Hidden Park:
Start Time: Download the iPhone app at the HQ and play at your leisure anytime during the weekend.
Location: Download at Festival HQ at the The Tank (354 W 45th St. between 8th/9th Aves). Then play the game in Central Park.
# of players: 1-2 players
Duration: 1-2 hours
Requires: iPhone - Players will need to download and install the App.

“A group of greedy property developers plans to bulldoze Central Park and you're the only person who can stop them! Help the Magical Wildlife Protection Agency by collecting evidence to prove the existence of local fairies, dragons and trolls that inhabit the park.”
Once installed, this app will turn your iPhone into a magical creature tracking device, and it’s your job as the player to solve riddles and challenges to find these magical creatures throughout Central Park. Just take a photo of yourself and the creature to prove they exist and the first to find them all and save the park from destruction will receive the MWPA’s Medal of Honor.

Ran Some Ransom:
Start Time: Pick up and play throughout the weekend
Location: Festival HQ at the The Tank (354 W 45th St. between 8th/9th Aves)
# of players: 2 player teams. Any number of teams can play at once.
Duration: 30-90 minutes...but it's a race! beat the fastest time to be number 1 on the leader board!

“Come run around New York City some to discover and unscramble the ransom note hidden in the signage of Times Square. Gather a small team of friends and spend time finding the letters for the ransom note and win by being the fastest team to figure out the note and find the hostage. When playing RSR, your team gets a packet of special transparencies and an incomplete ransom note. Your job is to strategically align the images with the architecture and signs to decode the message to find the hostage. Your team races against the fastest time score with the goal of unraveling the mystery and finding the hostage in the least amount of time possible. “
