I survived a Japanese Gameshow!

edited August 2009 in Everything Else
So being sick has it's one perk: it's watching lots of TV when your eyes aren't hurting. So in my surfing I came across this show called "I survived a Japanese Game show!" and it's actually really good. They take a group of Americans, stick them smack dab in the middle of Tokyo, and put them through classic Japanese-style challenges with little to no help at all!

So I'm curious if anyone else has come across this show on the ABC network? Or have you seen any other Japanese game shows on television?

  • They're broadcasting it in Finland, so I've heard of it. I haven't watched any of it, though.
  • I watched the first season. It was okay at best.
  • It's on Hulu. Good for a rainy day, but it's not lasting entertainment.
  • I watched the first or the first two episodes and basically it's stupid people who don't have a clue about japan doing dumb shit. The only really interesting thing about it is the japanese game show and you might as well just watch a japanese game show on the internet instead.
  • I just don't get this concept. The whole point of a Japanese game show is to embarrass yourself, which the Japanese really hate to do. American's have no problem embarrassing themselves.
  • This show is terrible.
  • Please don't start two threads for the same thing.
  • I saw one episode of that show and didn't think it was any good.
