It's not Hellsing
I've been starting to watch older anime and have ended up remembering that a few years ago I watched Wrath of the Ninja (Yotoden) on Comcast's On Demand service. At the same time there was another available anime that I had watched. I've forgotten the name.
I only saw the first episode. I think that the anime is an OAV because the episode was about 45 minutes. It has an older art style that places it before digital animation methods, there are Nazis, there is a special skull bone possibly gold, and there are plenty of times where the show pans across a image of the cosmos and has a voice talking about how there was some ancient cataclysm among the gods.
I hope someone can id this show, what I can remember gets me so psyched.
