The new Ubuntu 9.10 Beta should be out sometime this week.
Looks like Thursday. What makes me a lot more interested in this version is that they set out to fix all the little petty annoyances of Linux for the average user. This sounds great to me because those little problems are always what drive me back to windows after a month or so.
Also, in my experience, the October releases seem to work better.
So what are other people's thoughts?

For the servers, I'm going to wait for the April release, which will be an LTS.
As for the version, latest skype-static in the Medibuntu repository, which is 2.0.0.72. Grabbing from the site requires I install all the qt shit.
If they haven't fixed this in 9.10, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
When I get annoyed with Ubuntu, trying to use Windows for a prolonged period keeps me sane.
I'm exactly the opposite, I use Linux every 6 months to remind me why I actually pay money for Windows. Windows 7 is so much slicker and easier compared to this.
I have high hopes for 9.10, but 9.04 is not instilling me with confidence.
To change where a stream is going to/coming from, on the fly, go to: "Playback OR Recording --> Find the program --[Right Click]--> Move Stream --> Your Card."
Oh fuck me running, now skype fails with "problem with audio capture"
*crosses fingers for 9.10 tomorrow*
