H-hey... some of us might maybe like that movie...
I just thought it was kinda cheezy. Also drag queen alligator, WTF?
I liked it because I like dogs its main character was an asshole who owned a casino, who was murdered so his partner could take full ownership, and then comes back from heaven to gamble and be an asshole some more. He was also hit by a car while drunk. His partner also tried to off him with a machine gun and arson. He has nightmares of being sent to hell. And even though he has a change of heart and becomes a good person in the end, he drowns and stays dead.
I like it for everything listed above that you don't see in animated kid's movies today. No, it wasn't the best movie and yeah, it had very cheezy moments. But I still think it had its own merit, at least a little.
Hell, that stupid-ass fruity alligator probably would've been objected to by executives/parents nowadays.
There is one animated film that I remember had a lot of buzz when it first came out, and rightfully so. But nowadays, no one talks about it anymore which is disheartening. I'm talking about "The Prince of Egypt". I didn't expect much when I went to see it and even though I know it's a fictional story, it was pulled off so well I couldn't believe it. For those of you who care or are interested in either seeing it for the first time or walking down memory lane; I highly recommend you see this movie because the animation still looks pretty damn good even after 11 years and is possibly the animated equivalent of The Ten Commandments in my opinion (except for that new one with Ben Kingsley as God, fuck that movie).
It's to me, what The Iron Giant is to Emily, an animated film that had a good amount of attention when it was first released but isn't really talked about a lot anymore.
YES! I went to see that in theaters actually. I'm still impressed with that movie. I liked it when Dreamworks did 2D animation. I wish they'd give it another go, but the rest didn't really impress me.

It's been such a long time since I've seen All Dogs Go To Heaven that I remember absolutely nothing you just said. Gambling? Asshole? Perhaps bad localization or just a preteen Nine not yet knowing what 'gambling' was and just saw a dog dying again and again?
I used to love that movie, but Cartoon Network ruined it for me by airing it for 24 hours straight, one day a year, three years in a row. *Sigh.*
Where the fuck was I when this happened? I wish I could have saw it during that time period.
Years and years ago. I enjoyed it like, the first three times they played it in a row. The fourth time...Yeah, I was just kinda pissed. Then they did that two more times within the span of a few years. I don't want to see that movie again for another 5-10 years...

Why didn't you just not watch or change the channel?

He said he loves the movie, and most people who literally love movies won't mind watching them a few more times. In this case, I believe it got to be too much for him.

I understand he enjoys the movie a lot, but the fact that he kept watching to where he got pissed at it, was pretty much his own fault. I watch movies over and over again, but not back to back.

It was a case of there being nothing on, nothing else to do. Or I'd walk away and do something else, then forget about the marathon, come back, switch the TV back on, and be pissed when I remembered the marathon. It was a matter of me wanting to watch other shows the channel had to offer, but not getting to for a day.
I really loved Al Hirschfeld's artwork. I don't think I can read The New York Times (especially the Broadway sections) the same way anymore as the lack of Hirschfeld's art makes it too alien.

Yes, damn that Cartoon Network for always forcing the airwaves of your television and victimizing you with its HORRIBLE tribute to an otherwise unknown animated classic! Damn the injustice! Let's blame the movie!

I don't blame the movie. I know it's a good movie, I just can't stand it anymore. Too much exposure...

Plan: Rewatch that shit.
*Sigh.*
Discuss.
EDIT: No one took the bait, I see.
