    The stocks saw a very good rally today. Did everyone hear the National Bureau of Economic Research's announcement that the recession ended in June 2009? And HungryJoe calls me Pollyanna....

    Just check this game for the first time in forever. Can't believe I'm in second place. Amazon came back in a big way.

    Still, if I had just stuck with Netflix the whole time, I'd be winning by too much. There was also one time I was considering Chipotle, but the price was already very high. Yet, the next day it jumped a ton. If I had just sat on CMG and NFLX the whole time, I would have won so bad.

    Actually I've been looking at it everyday. Been waiting to see if I finish in the top 10 or not.. (currently at 11) My employer completely fucked me with their stock in the game. (and it's a quick way to find the news on that particular stock for my job)

    I was in first place, but then I stopped caring and, predictably enough, the alternative energy start-ups I invested in tanked a couple of months later. Ah well.

    Were I playing, I would have not made optimal moves due to possible real investments being made. (My possible real-world returns have been a little more than double what I might have made in the game).

    Well.. The game ends today and for some reason I am super rallying. I've gone from 12th to 7th in about a week. With only a few hours to go will I hold. I made about 30k in the year of stocks. Not bad. Not as good as some people. A majority of people ended up in the red with the people who never invested finishing in the bottom third.

    Aw, ended up in 10th. The highest I ever got (that I saw) was 7th, but I guess you just kind of glide along when you choose once and never change anything :P
