CRAAAAAZY Sonic's Computer Parts Emporium!!! (AKA: Raising money to go to PAX)

edited April 2010 in Everything Else
Hey Yall. So recently, I found a bunch of computer parts sitting in a box by the dumpster in our compound. Motherboards, graphics cards, etc, even a shuttle PC. I figured out who threw them out and I asked him why and if they worked. Basically, he recently got married, and his wife whipped him into throwing them out. He said he was grateful I found them rather than them just being thrown out.

So, since I cant use some of these, I thought maybe I could sell them to help raise the money I need to go to PAX Prime this year. *bows* Please consider my wares.

EVGA 121-BL-E756-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 Micro ATX SLI Micro Intel Motherboard - Retail: $100 (50% retail)
I really wish I could have used this one, as it is SO kick ass, but I can't afford the processor, ram, or graphics cards I would need to use it. Cest Le Vive.

MSI K8N Diamond Plus 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard
: Make me an offer.

SLI Bridge: $1
It's just the little connector bit to make two SLI cards bridge.

Lucent Smart 56k PCI Modem: $2

Teac 3.25" Floppy Drive: $2

120mm ball bearing case fan (black supports, clear blades): $3

9x DVI-I MALE (24 + 5 pin) to VGA HD 15 Female Adapter: $2 a piece.

2x 8cm case fans with metal grills (Molex power, not 3pin): Both for $2

Molex power splitter (1 molex in, 2 molex out): $1

5' VGA male to Male cable: $5

20-Pin ATX Power Supply to 24-Pin Motherboard Adapter: $6

ATI Radeon 7500 AGP graphics card (64MB, VGA, SVIDEO, DVI 24+5): Good for re-purposing an old machine as a console emulator. Make an offer.

2x Hitman - Blood Money (PC) : $10 a piece

26x Canon 15 Black Ink Cartridges

3x Canon 15 Color Ink Cartridges

1 Canon 24 Black Cartidges

All Mobo's and other cards should be considered open box because, even though the guy said they still work, I am not able to test them. If you decide to purchase it and it is faulty, just throw it away and I will refund your money.

  • My first sale has just been completed!

The "MSI K8N Diamond Plus 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard" has just been sold! Thank you, buyer, I am now one step closer to going to PAX! Now if I can only offload that other motherboard.
  • Who on earth would buy a 939 board in 2010?
  • Who on earth would buy a 939 board in 2010?
Perhaps men who yearn for a bygone era?
  • Because the 939 was the Fiat 500 of motherboards. I still use mine.

  • I'll add a "Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit PCI" Sound Card, which goes for around $20, give Sonic $15 bucks and it's yours, I'll pay the shipping and everything.

    Fucking A! Thanks Cielmort!

I'm going to be taking a bunch of my anime DVD's to CD Traders to get cash for em. Mostly Inuyasha Dvds, but my cyborg 009 disc and my Sonic Underground disc will be going too.

Can you ship to the UK? If you can I would buy it for $25 at some point when Ebay has paid out for all the games I am selling.

It looks just like this, except the handle is more green.

I would, but I realized that having an (even inert) grenade shipped to my dorm probably isn't wise.

It's inert. There isn't even a detonator in it. The most damage you could possibly do with it is break a window by throwing it.

You could have it shipped to a friend who lives off campus.

You know who can't tell that by looking at it? Pretty much anyone who could probably get someone into trouble for it.

Yeah, but I think the hole on the bottom is pretty decent tip off.

Occassionally someone comes in to vacuum or fiddle with the AC unit. The last thing I need is someone who doesn't know that calling in the bomb squad. Otherwise, I'd probably snap that shit up. Sorry.

    Oh well.

Well! That just means it's still for sale!

You would be suprised about how reactionary people are with these things. They don't see the hole in the bottom, they see something that looks like a grenade to them, and go "HOLY SHIT, IT'S A GRENADE, CALL THE COPS!"

I'd probably be willing to sell one of my Sega genesis 2's (I've got far too many) with a couple controllers and a game or 2 and give sonic the $$$. I'll Have to see if I have enough cables for them but I know I've got plenty of 3 button controllers if any-one's interested. I think I've got a spare copy of sonic 2 and the 6-pack cart that has sonic 1, streets of rage and a few others on it. Make me an offer. I really don't know what this stuff is worth anymore because I've always just picked them up at garage sales for real cheap so I don't want to ask too high.

Edit-Actually if anyone wants it I guess the price is up to sonic considering he's the one getting the cash.

    No prob dude.

I looked and I've definitely got a copy of Sonic 2 and Toy story to go with the genesis.
Also if anyone wants to buy any atari 2600 games like pacman, or combat, I've got like a shit-ton of them. I've got like 30 copies of combat.
And if anyone needs a nintendo 64 memory card I've got some of those too. Haha anything to help.
  • Ok so if anyone is interested in the atari 2600 games, here are most of the games I could find that I have a lot of copies of:

    Star Raiders
    Missile Command
    Warlords
    Space invaders
    Defender
    Pac-man
    ET
    Yars Revenge
    Asteroids
    Combat
    Breakout
