Weekend Gaming: Civ IV

I'd like to play Civ IV with you peeps this weekend, but actually plan it ahead of time. This is mostly targeted at the FRC, but not entirely by all means. Just don't feel bad if the game ends up full ;^)

I'll make a Skype channel and a game and start it all up at the appointed time. Maybe Sunday late morning to start?

I totally want to finish the game we were playing last weekend so I can kick your butt and teach you a lesson of attacking the Japanese. Unfortunately I'll probably be in North Wildwood this weekend, so if the weather sucks I might be up for it but not sure.

  • I should be getting back around 6 if anyone wants to play then

  • Well that sucks for me, my Civ IV binge just ended and now I am back on my Simcity 4 binge.
  • well now I got back.
  • I can play some.
  • I should have some time tonight, but I've barely played the game.
  • Soooo, I sucked so bad. I sucked so bad in a way I didn't even know you could suck. Apparently cities cost money. Cities cost more money if they are further from your capital. You can't get rid of cities unless they are conquered, or if you give them to somebody else. When you run out of money, all your units get disbanded, and you can't do anything until you get money again. For the first time ever I actually had a bunch of cities and a bunch of units, and things were looking up. Then all my workers and units disbanded. If I built a new worker, it got disbanded before it could build a cottage.
  • Yea I was more then happy to help you with that "problem".
  • @Apreche:

Gotta research at least a few economic sciences and build a cottage or two before you get to that point. ;^)
  • Yea, it was pretty funny, over skype. I said, if you just give me two cities you'll be doing a lot better. He refused, so I declared war and took three cities. (he had one archer in each).
  • (he had one archer in each).
I had a pile of swordsmen and spearmen, they just disbanded.

Doesn't matter what you had before I invaded :-p

That's why you ran out of money.
