I can't deny that I have a skewed sense of price and quality when it comes to camera equipment. When the company I used to work for bought their first Sony HDCAM, it was a $120k camera body, that we needed a long lens and a wide lens that ran somewhere in the range of $15-20k each. Now Canon has their DSLRs that record a better video than that original camera, for 2-8% of the cost depending on how extreme of a camera kit you want to put together.
