  • Well, the store would be more to help give you a presence beyond your own reach. T-shirts are free advertising, after all.

I'm curious about these projects of yours.
What projects? That isn't supposed to be a snipe or snarky comment, I genuinely don't know. Could someone please explain?

Rym is working on something GeekNights related that we are prohibited from speaking about. You know us, if we CAN tell we WILL tell.

I am working on something you will probably see within days that is not GeekNights related, but may make some moneys.

I know I keep hinting at this, and I wish I could say something, but it's under wraps for now. It's been in the works for many months.

Geeknight: the video game; River city ransom+golden axe+castlevania, players get to choose their Geek Knight in order to fight enemies such as indignant fat ladies and n00bs. Features include an intuitive weather system with weather patterns such as "warm today..." and "WOMAN!" Cthulhu might or might not be a secret character.

Rym is really a spy for Reed Exhibitions.

    EDIT: Option 2: Double agent.

That's actually in my queue after three other things are complete.
  • BALLS! Well, are you at least allowed to tell us how close this awesome mystery thing is to being something you can tell us?

That sounds way cooler than Project DORF. Time to re-task the coding club.

Yeah sure, right after the inaugural Pragmatic Rationalist convention.
  • We already have an RSS feed for the news on frontrowcrew.com, and the URL is
Your feed, show it to me.

In time. Like I've been saying, the secret project has been occupying me for several months, nevermind ConnectiCon. The order of priority is basically:

    1. Secret Project
    2. NYAF/NYCC programming
    3. Relaunch of our TEDx (delayed for unrelated reasons)
    4. Merch
    5. GeekNights convention
    6. Pragma party

4 and 6 require accountancy, the latter to a degree that pains me. 2 is ongoing. 1 is also ongoing every single damn day. 3 is pending 1 and 2. 5 has progress already, but is now on hold pending 1, 2, and at least 3. Project Dorf is in Scott's court for a while, and I'll only be working on it tangentially as time permits.

Not noted, but also in progress, are our two new panels (Egregiously Unrealized Potential and Game Mechanics and Mechanism Design), several internal FRC events, numerous content updates to the site, the rampup of bringing guests onto the show more regularly, our actual jobs, and our actual lives outside of GeekNights (in rough priority order). ^_~
  • I think perhaps Merch is more important than the TEDx. The TEDx can be combined with the GeekNights convention into a single item.

You've stole my idea for Geeknights: The NC17 Musical and didn't include me?!?!?!? YOU BASTARDS! FU guys and the high horse you homoerotically rode in on.

"He's gripping that saddlehorn pretty tight."
    "That's not his saddlehorn."

You realize if you have not LAUNCHED Your TEDx then you can't RELAUNCH it :-p

  • 6. Pragma party
I was scanning this thread waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast and thought there was gonna be a Geeknight Pajama party.

    ...I was seriously dissapointed /s

Wow, this feed is seriously hard to find. It's not linked to from the Subscribe! link, nor is there a link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" in the page for my browser to give me a rss button.

Although, now that I'm reading it, there's a Things of the Day feed, too!
