At first there was a rumor they were going to make a deal of evil. That was debunked. However, they were meeting with each other, and they did do something, it just wasn't was was rumored. However, what was rumored and what was real are both net neutrality related.
Basically, they didn't make any deal with each other. All they did was make a proposal. It doesn't have any actual effect on anything. It's just another one of those situations where everyone loses their shit for a few days and then everything goes back to normal. People are still using Facebook after their privacy snafus. Nothing to go crazy about.
