They're funny about 20% of the time, but during that 20%, I laugh quite hard.

Barfblog is something that you should be familiar with. It's a food safety news and education blog run by a guy at Kansas State University and a guy from Canada. I've seen them both give lectures, and they're really really good at what they do. Lots of good information here.
