So I just watched this movie. It's extremely weird, but it has a very compelling story line. If anybody's seen this, please explain this to me. How did Frank and Donny go back in time?

    Ah glimp, the 'wow that was a great a movie, what the fuck was that about?' Donnie Darko syndrome. Nobody knows what that movie is about. The directors cut makes more sense, but still very little. Its an awesome movie.

    I saw this movie for the first time on HBO the other day. And while I understand the circumstances leading up to it. I agree, the exact reason why doesn't seem to be revealed.

    It's a good Mind fuck movie, it's hard to say exactly what is going on. Because generally time travel movies are hard to piece together! However, this movie seems to have time travel and the concept of destiny in it. Thus making it Even more confusing and crazy!

    I'm pretty sure it's about a kid justifying his own suicide. Either way, too much dark teen emo angst for me. It was interesting to see a movie made in such an interesting way, but it was not entertaining for me.

    I'm glad now that I didn't miss something crucial in the story, but damn was that rabbit the weirdest character I've ever seen in a movie.

    Well he chose his own death over the death of the girlfriend. At least that's how I saw it.

    The imaginary book that Donny gets from Lady Death has a lot of the concepts that explain how the movie is actually suppsoed to be working. The book was originally put on the website for the movie when it first came out and while that site may not be active I'm sure you can still find fan sites that have the same content.
    If you want to understand the movie at all (and you don't want to write the entire thing off as a metaphor) then either hunt down the book that Lady Death (i think that's her name) gives him online or watch the director's cut. The DC has cutscenes in it of captions from the book. Pay special attention to them and you'll start to have some idea how what's actually happening.
