A new world awaits
How do you imagine a new world to be? What will man unlock first? The inner most working of the mind? Intergalactic travel? Inter-dimensional travel? Technological wonders past reality in any form? All existence colliding into a string mass of incomprehensibly horrors and wonders ?
Honestly I feel the intergalactic travel, no matter how far away we are now, are the closest new worlds we'll reach in our collective life time.
Hopefully though, I would rather the inter-dimensional process to come to fruition and let me travel into Harlan Ellison land.

Intergalactic travel probably won't happen in our lifetimes. But it's definitely an awesome thing to think about. Space Travel like Cowboy Bebop would be awesome.
