Saying how you currently feel is fine, but nobody can say how they will feel in the future.
I do have the precedent that I pretty-much have the same attitude now that I had a decade ago. ^_~
Also, to show Steve how to make a pedantic argument, I never said that I'd never have children. I said that I "don't really plan to ever have children." I'm projecting (planning) to not have kids. Plans can change based on situations. I didn't exclude the possibility, I simply put forth what course I'm currently planning to take.
Why are you dragging me into this? I don't recall anyone in this thread commenting on your desire to have (or not have) children.
I won't give anything up to be with the woman I love because there's nothingtogive up. I've had to make no sacrifice. Being with her wasn't a compromise.
Really I was talking about having children, which came with marriage. I too thought I would never want children. But I changed, and I know that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. What I've had to give up doesn't even come close to what I have gained. I understand, though, that there are different strokes for different folks. That's fine. I just have a problem with some who says "I never." Saying how you currently feel is fine, but nobody can say for certain how they will feel in the future.
Now you are confusing me... I can't see the "I never" anywhere in this thread except in your post...
I actually agree with Kilarney on something. FM/Satelite are in big trouble. Wi-Fi is growing rapidly, Apple is all over it like cheese on pizza, and the old companies seem more intent on NOT changing than adapting. Some radio shows have introduced archived and simultaneous streaming podcasts, but even they have commercials since they are simply rebroadcasts of the origional show (the exception being stations like NPR who have no commercials to being with).
I think that WiFi/Podcasting is definately the future, and it certainly will be interesting to see what will come out of the genre that has virtually no FCC control and little advertising.
