The Wii pre-orders sold out faster than even Nintendo anticipated. Since we couldn't speak deeply on news due to pirate-related limitations, I figure we should discuss it here.
More and more, the evidence is pointing toward the Wii being a smashing success. There's even the small possibility that Nintendo will regain the number one spot in the console gaming world. (Note that they've been number one in the portable gaming world for as long as the portable gaming market has existed).
Comments
Note: Sarcasm aside, PS3 launch titles will most likely be announced this weekend at TGS.
1) Take in preorders
2) Sell preorder systems to non-preorder customers
3) Tell preorder customers the systems did not come in in a large enough quantity to satisfy all preorders.
Rinse and repeat.
So, any bets on how many Wii's will show up on Ebay after the launch? Any bets on highest price?
/someone stole my running joke. ^_^
Addition: I JUST got a call from my EB. They are calling all those with Wii game preorders to tell them that the Wii goes on preorder tomorrow. Thankfully I have my Amazon.com preorder.
