Here, if this doesn't convince you of the awesome terribleness of this show, have the first episode. Seriously, just look at that fucking wig. Also, bizzarely, we thought it was a great idea to have a a full half the major characters in a childeren's show dressed in borderline fetishwear.
Welcome to being an austrian kid in the 80s/early 90s:
The first is Maya the Bee, then we got Vicky the Viking, Heidi, Girl of the Alps (on which Hayao Miyazaki worked), and Alfred J. Kwak which has a surprisingly deep going story. The last is "Once upon a time... Life" which is part of the greater "Once upon a time" series of educational kids cartoons, and I give that series partial credit for why science is much more accepted in europe than it is in the U.S. I've talked about it in a different thread as well. All of these I would still show my kids if I had any.
Now Fraggle Rock has actually aged well. I watched a few episodes on The Hub. You got Traveling Matt's adventures in "outer space" and Kobo growing a pair by the end of the show to travel as well.

There was also Driven Crazy, Elly and Jools, Escape from Jupiter(which was FUCKING AMAZING), The Ferals(which was basically the Australian Muppets), Halfway across the Galaxy and Turn Left(Absolutely brilliant), Lil' Elvis and the Truckstoppers, Misery Guts, Mission Top Secret, Ocean Girl, Spellbinder(Basically Steampunk+magic, for kids!), Thunderstone(Mad Max for kids), Mirror Mirror, The Wayne Manifesto, The Genie From Down Under, Backyard Science, so many fantastic shows.
Also, a little before my time, but the greatest name for a Kid's show ever - Professor Poopsnagle's Steam Zeppelin
Now I have Koala nostalgia....
Here you go sweet pea.
