Webcomic Lists and Rank Sites. Are They REALLY useful?
I kinda think not really.
My reasoning is that most people outside of the community see and care about it. There's also a large part of the community that doesn't care. In the older days I could see a use for TWC of TWL and stuff, but now there's Twitter, FB, G+, Tumblr and to a lesser extent DA.
Some of the associations with the webcomic list-y vote-y site is similar to when you think Drunk Duck or Comic Genesis, the under the barrel factor. The crappiest factor. It doesn't hurt to have one of these vote buttons, but does it really help?
