  • It's not the forum, it's standard HTML, and it's doing that because you're leaving out the "http://".

    It's called stackoverflow.com. I suggest you use it because some trendy tech employers will check your stackoverflow reputation score.
    I didn't know that. What are they checking though? How many questions you've opened or how many answers you've left? One may correlate to poor programming skill (although not necessarily).

    They're checking your reputation score. The reputation score is comparable to karma on Reddit, but it has a more complex algorithm that accounts for the fact that answers are more valuable than questions, etc. More information:

    Of course, they could also look at the things you've actually done on there, but rep score is an easy summary.
