Hey that's sweet! I was there when I was kinda young. Went to Albany Creek Elementary School. I really want to go back one of these days and check out the area where I used to live. And go down to South Bank, that place was sweet, maybe not as cool when I'm not a little kid.
Never got up to Harvey Bay but I've wanted to go, and actually I've been to Mansfield once. Some guy down there put a mod chip in my playstation for like $30.
Any time I go to Australia these days is over in WA though, my mom's side of the family lives a couple hours outside of Perth.

Maybe, but when you were a little kid, you couldn't sit out in the summer heat, drinking a cool pint of Guinness, eating a massive bowl of chips and gravy, while you watch the pretty girls and boys in swimming gear go by.

It's got whales and shit.

Non-zero chance that I took my mate's playstation over to get mod-chipped by the same guy. I was over near creek road, right on the Mt Gravatt East edge, up toward Carindale.

I don't know much about WA, the only time I've been there, it was surfing at Freo for a few days.
I honestly don't know for sure, since it was a case of my mate calling me up and saying "Can you do me a favor and take my playstation to this guy?" but I'm pretty sure he did.
Ah okay, because I remember he was like the only one that actually advertised it in the area which is the only reason we could find him. I also remember playing Bugsby 3D while waiting for him.
I might be in the minority here, but I really want to see the OUYA succeed, even with your criticisms in mind. If it can prove that open source hardware can really sell, I can totally see it causing a ripple effect through our Draconian game industry. We're in the middle of crazy patent wars and copyright paranoia, and I think we need something like this to set the record straight.
I don't care if it's a glorified Android; I believe this thing can really send a message.

Only it's not open source hardware. Arduino is open source hardware, and it has succeeded.

After all, we both know that they've known that for years.
Well, if you watched the video in their kickstarter, you would know how to pronounce OUYA.
Yeah, I don't know what the OUYA company has in mind for this console. It's a niche within a niche. At least it's not the Phantom.
