From the first paragraph of the article, it's not all of Dell, just their IT business - apparently they had a service where businesses could outsource to Dell to handle their IT?
Yeah, Mr. Dell needs to pay for EMC somehow, like the article says he's just getting rid of low profit parts of the company to pay for the loans.
I am also very excited for this, though my work environment is Win7, so doesn't really help me much for the near term. Will be nice for home projects though.

I hate using cygwin, you need to do so much bullshit setup to get it working in Windows 7 optimally. I recently tried putting it on Windows 10 and realised it was even more work than just opening my Linux VM.
