Well... this will be my first fall that I won't need to go to school, since I graduated in May. Feels kinda.... nice. But yeah, the feeling of going back to school, for me at least, was pleasant as I got to see old friends again, but it also came with a feeling of dread of having to wake up early for class.
My Grad school classes start Monday. I'm really looking forward to my classes since they all seem like they are going to be awesome, plus my weekend starts at noon on Wednesday for this quarter.
My junior year of high school starts tomorrow. Apparently, it's the toughest year because of the ACT's. The teachers already gave us a "head start" on homework. Yay.
We have this awesome English discussion 8th and 9th grade. It's one fourth advanced spelling/grammar, one fourth movies and the rest debates. The same teacher teached ham radio classes before I got there.

In high school, my Computer Engineering teacher was a radio broadcaster before he was a teacher. The funny thing was, he was a better teacher, and knew his shit more than the Computer Science teacher who was an Information Systems major.
Ahh, Alas, I am now a freshman and my first week of school is nearly complete.
List of accomplishments:
Determined what teachers are cool with laptops. Determined which classes a laptop would be useful. Became admin of the schools anime club facebook group. Became staff at Mikomicon 2008 (I'm hosting the watermelon eating contests and the ninja vs pirates game) Found the cheapest place to eat on campus (Oddly, its the Pub) Got a job on the campus helpdesk ($9.20 a hour) Made a business plan to start an On Campus PC-repair shop.
Mwuahahahaha, Soon this campus shall be mine! MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's nice that he teached ham radio, but I wish he teached conjugation a little better.

New school system = can't choose any courses really and am forced to do: English, German, Chemistry, Judo, Physics, Latin, Maths, Philosophy, Music, Zertification Courses, History, Biology, Ehtics and Astronomy! In addition I have to pay for my music lessons.
I'm a little over a week into my senior year of high school. Going alright so far.
My schedule: 1. study hall - I love it, unlike most of you...It gives me a good chance to finish up anything I didn't from the night before. 2. economics- easy so far... 3. ap calculus BS - quasi review so far, so it's been easy 4. lifestyles (religion class...)- easy 5. consumer economics - deals more with personal shit rather than economics as a whole, which is what my 2nd period class is 6. lunch (11:45 if you're wondering) 7. Business Principles - easy... 8. English 12 - not too bad, not too easy, either. I like the teacher. 9. Italian IV honors - hard as fuck
My 2nd semester is probably going to be less of a joke, since all my "took em cause they're easy" classes got dumped on this semester...
Here's my first quarter of grad school (classes start Monday): -Telecom Network Protocols -History & Critical Analysis of Computer Games & Interactive Media -Interactive Narrative -Interactive Media Implementation
1. AP Trig/Pre-Calc/Calculus A (Yes, all in the same class!) 2. AP Chemistry 3. German 3-4 4. AP US History 5. AP Junior English 6. Lunch 7. Honors Engineering Design & Development 8. Computer Programming 1-2 (We're doing Java)
Looks like there are no slack-off classes this year..
Geez, where are all these high schools that have seven class periods? We have six, not including lunch and a snack break, unless you want to show up early for what we call "zero period".
1- Physics 2110 : General Physics with Calculus I; So far, awesome. 2- Math 2210 : Calculus III; Also awesome. 3- Physics 1970 : Undergraduate Seminar; Cool 4- Chemistry 1215 : Chemistry Lab I; Large class, we also haven't gotten to see the laboratory yet. 5- Writing 2010 : Intermediate Writing; DO NOT WANT.

I'm in northern Ohio. Most of the schools up here have 7-8 class periods (I actually have 8, I forgot to add in English). We have a 20 minute lunch and that's it. School is 8-2:30. Classes are ~40 minutes with 4 minutes in between. I don't really mind the system. It allows you to take a lot of classes...
1- Physics 2212: Electric and Magnetic Interaction 2- CS 2340: Objects and Design; Working with Smalltalk to learn REAL OOProgramming 3- CS 3600: Intro to Artificial Intelligence; LISP and C 4- MATH 3012: Combinatorics 6- Chinese 2 7- Marching Band
1- Chemistry 7484: applications of the cleaning properties of dihydrogen monoxide. 2- CS 5156: use of network applications. 3- Chemistry 0834: experimentation on the nourishment of carbohydrates and other food contents. 4- English 6732: practical formal letter writing in the modern world. 5- Physical Education 1520: training of motor reflexes to falling objects. 6- Sociology 2673: study of giving and receiving between a hetrosexual cohabiting couple.
Even though this is my Junior year and all, I'm really looking forward to this semester. I have (in no particular order):
Latin (twice a week), General Chem (twice a week, and at Mercy College), Calculus, Piano, Play writing, Play reading, Art of the Samurai (should be interesting).
Yay for sporadic homeschooled schedules!
-EDIT- Oh, and I'll also be doing some occasional essay writing with my mom. Whoo.

Computers- After 2 years of Cisco this shit will be a breeze. It's pretty basic stuff. Video Productions- Another easy class English-Easy Physics-Hard Trigonometry-Hard Chemistry-Hard I have pretty hard classes for the second half of the day but I chose them because I know I will need them if I decide to become a mad scientist and Dominate the world..
