Anyone else noticed that the cheezburger network is either Buying(hawtness.com) or ripping off(bob's house of video games is Halolz.com - some of the pictures being the exact same images with the halolz watermark replaced) every image macro site on the net?
They did try to buy Halolz.
And while I might be biased, I think "Bob's house of video games" is a dumb generic name that is in no was memorable.
See, this requires a touch of explination for everyone but Thane and lackofcheese.
"Tomorrow, when the war began" Is a series of Novels set in Rural Australia, where a group of young friends go out camping in the middle of the bush, and while they're out from civilisation, Australia is invaded by a foreign power(which is never named in the series). So, the young group comes back, discovers this, and hides for a short while, before getting their shit together, and starting a guerrilla war. But this isn't "These kids go to war against the soldiers, and win through whacky antics and hijinks" - They're smart, sensible, and practical, and despite this, they often fail, get injured, and so on, the action is realistic, and it's an extremely well written series, and despite being a young adult series of novels, it's full of incredibly powerful moments. Also, It's not a "There's a big war! Here is these people's place in it! GO GO GO!" kinda novel - The main characters are cut off from civilization, for the most part, and you never find out how well the war is going, who they're fighting against, how much of the country is under their control, or how well the Australian Army is doing. You know only slightly more than the characters know. More information at Wikipedia, though it's pretty spoileriffic.
Right, With that said, Here's the TOYD part - They're making and releasing a movie of the first book, with a good likelihood of making the rest of the series, if it's successful, and the trailer is looking really, really good. It's directed and written by the same guy who directed "Collateral" and "Pirates of the Carribian: Curse of the Black pearl".
P.s - If you want to skip all of the young-people-having-a-fun-summer-movie exposition opening, head to about 40 seconds in.

Now, I grew up listening to The Spoonman, A show on Triple M, a radio station back home. I started getting the podcast, when I came to england, but as I discovered, it finally ended when I was over here, because it "Wasn't part of Triple M's new youth oriented Direction."
This saddened me, as it's something I grew up with finally coming to an end. It's what introduced me to scepticism and rational thought, and taught me many things.
Well, after a massive ratings drop after they became a clone of other, shittier stations for a while, they've returned to their roots, and The Spoonman is back.
