  • I've worked out the start of a brokerage deal with a local store that seized my interest, literally, just walking up and saying "G'day, I'm a broker dealing in services, information, and products, I'd like to help you out." Walked away humming "Every day I'm hustlin'".
  • The finale of The Anime Club is online, y'all!
  • I just read this on Facebook: In 'Back to the Future', Doc sets clock in the DeLorean to a day 25 years in the future. Today is that day.
  • Wait, In BTTF 1 they go into the past and in BTTF 2 they go to October 2015. Which part are you talking about?

Yeah people have been falling for that a lot. The originator of that claim is correct in both the month and the day; but he/she is 5 years off.
  • So we still have about 5 years until flying cars and hover boards. Cool.

I still find the Mattel Hover Board incident hillarious to this day as it is a wonderful illustration of the human stupidity.

I was reading The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck again, and I came to the part where he gets his first dime, and I realised something interesting.

Scrooge McDuck's first Dime isn't the start of his fortune at all. It's an abstract life lesson.
" Oh, but It's his first dime, the sentimentality is obvious!" You say.

But you forget one important detail.

When Scrooge recived his first dime, He was a shoe-shine boy.
A shoe-shine boy...In SCOTLAND, where an AMERICAN dime is worth four-fifths of five eighths of fuck all.
HE GOT GYPPED WITH HIS FIRST DIME! It's a symbol of him getting ripped for the first time, and a powerful reminder of his very first lesson in business and finance, not just the first scrap of a vast fortune, which, to someone who has had and lost multiple fortunes, would probably mean very little.

Also, Yes, I know, I'm stupid and slow for not realising this sooner, village idiot, yadda yadda yadda.

So, as promised I downloaded the CCR pack for Rock Band today and of course played all 12 songs straight. It was good. However, I kinda expected the 3:51 Radio edit of "Heard it through the Grapevine". However, they in fact included and entirely charted the full 11 minute version! Holy fucking shit. I now dub this song "Won't be fooled again Junior". Extremely long, at parts very complicated (though not on Keith Moon levels, only played it on Drums), but also very very fun to play.

I hear they're releasing a pack in two months, where you play "My generation" and then your drumkit blows up.
  • This city exists...
As does this one. I can proudly say I've been to Hell and back.

  • Brilliant!

    Utterly brilliant.
  • Thank science. It's a long way to go before we have solar turboprops, but we should all breathe a sigh of relief that we're making headway.
  • Griefing: Perfected with porn.
That reminds me of the time my team in Counter Strike made a "porn wall" at the bomb site and camped it. All it took was a glance to give us the edge.
  • Got a good night's sleep at last, and now I feel all:
