Wait.. there are graphic novels with depth? Excluding things like Sanctuary. I mean, films or books would have probably been a better comparison as no-one can deny things like The Shawshank Redemption.
Oddly, I am currently referencing part of MM in something I'm writing, though mostly just the Anju and Kafei quest.
Video games are art, covered with art, stacked atop more art.
Braid. Flower. Psychonaughts. (Crayon Physics?) Honourable mention to The Void.
And on a simple level, I remember being blown away by MYST when it was first released for the obvious visuals.
Peripherally I believe that atmosphere development is a worthwhile consideration in an artistic medium, as such Silent Hill 2 and DEFCON also deserve mention.
Eric Power, a pal of mine, was featured on both Boing Boing and Yahoo! for his video he recently released. Wow, that is a lot of links for one thing of the day.

Considering that Optimus Prime saying "I died for your sins" is a common running gag in That Guy With The Glasses videos, that's not surprising to see. Still awesome, though.

Not really a thing I can share with the forum easily, but someone in my Livejournal game made a great tribute AMV to characters in the game, past and present. Technically speaking, it doesn't look great, since there's video sources pulled from all kinds of places that vary in quality, looks like. The song isn't really one I was fond of before, either ("Welcome to the Black Parade"). But the whole package of video and song and characters and love for everything us players have done together really touched me in spite of that, and that really did make my day, probably my whole week.

In regards to that particular song, the ending credits to AMV Hell 4 did the same to me. Don't really like anything else from that band, but that video made me like that song.
Yeah, I actually kinda liked it in the context of those credits too, but I didn't know if I'd like it outside that context since I don't like most of MCR's other songs. Now that I have two contexts I like the song in, I was forced to admit that I do like it, and I've now downloaded it.

Do you remember anything about the day of...the incident? When the snow changed to rain?
