The thing I hate about that meme is that they're often just using big words that aren't actually synonyms for small words. "Nomenclature," for example, isn't a synonym for "name;" it refers to a list of names or the system by which we give particular things names.
They're opening a bar called Beer Land in Albany. It'll be nice to go to a beer bar that can seat more then 20 people. I'm not sure about the electric select taps though. Don't cross the beer streams. The building is formally a night club and close to the downtown club scene. While I'm still up in the air about which clientele it'll attract. I'd like to see this place open for Genericon.
@George: Yup. We're going to a bar called Beer Land next time you visit.
Also, they're opening an Irish bar called Stout next to the Wolff's Beer garden. With a little luck, we may get a whiskey distillery as well in the near future.
Other thought: could this be the death knell for Mahar's?
Doubt it, that's a really dedicated crowd that drinks there.
It'll be fine. Mahar's has survived Wolff's 2L booting and Savannah's arsenal expanding to 100 beers on tap. Mahar's will never get any bigger, mostly cuz they don't want too, but neither will they get any smaller. My patronage to Beer Land will depend on the rest of the clientele it attracts. I'm hoping it'll be fun, decent parking and seating, reasonable prices, and a damn good selection. With 3 floors to utilize, I'm sure they can manage.
The Table Hopping comments are made by idiots who don't like beer and would never go to a place like this. That's kind of the downside of reading the blog. The comments are made by petty snobs with nothing good to say about anything. Regardless, it's full of good info. And holy hell I want to try the duck pastrami at Wine-N-Diner!

They're pretty interesting, And they made a 3d Sonar flyover of the HMS Fallen Oak.
No, this:
New York Mayor - Doing fuck all, most likely at home, taffing about, shoveling his drive.
Newark Mayor - says "Fuck you, Snowmaggeddon, I've got a constituency to take care of" and spends the next two days helping people out, dropping off daipers to stuck mothers, providing aid to women in labour, and helping pull cars out of where they're bogged down by hand, while subsisting on little more than diet coke and advil.
I can think of no better use for the kenict.

Also, I think I will patronize such an establishment until they're sick of me.
