Well unfortunately now we've passed a law saying that you're not allowed to go without healthcare. Otherwise yes the video hits the nail on the head, but good luck getting it implemented without basically starting over.
Well that's kind of like what we have in Australia. Every citizen has access to Medicare unless they have private healthcare. If you have private healthcare you are exempt from paying the Medicare Levy in your income Tax or a portion of it based on how long you are covered fully by private health insurance. If you don't have any private health care you pay the levy.
Just out of curiosity is the levy about the same amount as getting a plan? Or is it more/less expensive than having a plan?
One thing I do agree with surprisingly is that we should have just opted to have everyone in America have the Medicaid plan. It isn't the greatest health coverage yeah, but then you can go and buy supplementary plans to that (like companies do with Medicare) if you feel you need more.

That's what some states are doing. Other states are starting "Health Connectors" (like MA) that provide semi-subsidized private plans.

Yes, the levy is pretty closely matched by all the competing private healthcare providers (for a single person). The private healthcare companies then compete by adding extras, including some non essential options and what not to attract more people.
I made a mistake with my last post, you get Medicare for free even if you're not a citizen, as I remember when I was in the UK getting NHS benefits even though I was only there for 3 or 4 months.
From Wikipedia: "The NT News is a morning tabloid newspaper based in Darwin, Australia. It is a subsidiary of News Corp Australia, owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp." I would not have been able to tell./sarcasm
Also, one of the subheadlines in one of the images is also fantastic. It makes a story out of nuclear waste being stored in a hospital room. No shit sherlock. That probably happens in any hospital that has a radiology department.
Actually, there's a reason for that - The NT news was sold to newscorp with a bunch of restrictions about local content, standards and the like. That's why you often end up with super weird local story being the front page, and then a little line down the bottom about how the election is over and we've got a new prime minister, buried on page ten.
I did not see that much of a difference to the New York Post or some Murdoch owned british tabloids.
Oh, the content is still garbage, and yeah, some other papers look similar. I'm just telling you the exact reason why that paper is how it is - they couldn't do otherwise even if they wanted to.
House of Cards season two trailer is making me excited.
Wow so many more good actors, this is how to make a trailer - don't give away plot points yet still make the audience hungry (making the first season outstanding helps too).
Ah, Turbo Teen (the boy transforming into a car video). I remember watching that show for some silly reason as a kid (hey, I was a pretty dumb kid, I guess, but it wasn't like there was anything else on that was much better back then).
He has a point that YouTube has made money on the videos over the years, that most claims are false, and that reviews are absofuckinglutely fair use. But in simple gameplay videos, which are arguably the majority of videos on YouTube showing in-game content, the content used is absolutely protected under copyright and the copyright owners have the right to control the appearances of their assets.
Now, that being said, I think gameplay videos like those put out by the Game Grumps, where their commentary while playing is, for many people, is more important than the gameplay itself, should be protected.

Here is something really cool though. It requires Google Chrome to work, but it's an Amiga emulator that runs in a browser.
