Oh guys, since I thought this would give you all a laugh, you should check out Hillary is 44 org
This is probably the most crazy pro-clinton site I've ever seen. You can tell the comment section is heavily monitored to get rid of anyone who might disagree with anything written.
"I just thought I'd share that I've donated $100 to Barack's campaign today. He's so close to winning the nomination, and I'm feeling more and more like he is going to be a revolutionary (in the good way, not the Che way) and historic president."
Che's life may be romanticized and misunderstood, but I hadn't thought of him as a bad guy for the role that he has played in world history.
So I'll bite, what was wrong with Che ?
I think that the Geeknights take on the Che story might make a good show topic for the Thursday podcast.

There is a quote button on the right side of the page. Click it, to have it select all the text, or, highlight the text you want quoted- then click it.
Hurricane Katrina and 9/11 happened. What did you want president Bush to do. Not spend more money to keep the Economy to stay above water.
I have to say most people on this message board are fair minded people when it comes to debating who should be the next president of the United State in 08. It’s sad to see that some people on this message board have to get in the gutter and start calling people names.
I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on something that was raised on The Definitive Word. If either Obama or Clinton are elected, would it be likely that their vice president could be other than a white male?

Mike and Will's observations were quite astute. Podcast.
I'm now doing some reading up on American political parties. Random animal logos FTW, no lame birds or roses.
The current U.S. President, George W. Bush, is the 19th Republican to hold office. Republicans currently fill a minority of seats in both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives, hold a minority of state governorships, and control a minority of state legislatures.
Well these were my reasons until I'd given it some thought: A party is less about personalities and more about policies as policies are constant(ish) across a party whereas personalities vary. To me it seems that the US presidential election has a lot of people voting as though it were a popularity contest. The Pros of a separate presidential elections seem to me to be that: the party is less institutionalized as anyone who puts themselves forward has to appeal to voters directly instead of the party bigwigs. This has become a problem in England as I do not find the current prime minister particularly inspiring. If anyone has ever wondered what the difference is between a prime minister and a president is, a prime minister is the same but must pass laws onto the monarch for signing. Here, the Queen wields little political power but could stall as a last defense against dangerous laws while the government turn england into a republic.< /lesson type="Politics/UK/England">

Huh? what are you refering to?
This is why the US budget is in such bad shape.
Well, it's really due to some of Bush's reactions to those events, specifically the War in Iraq. The war in Iraq is costing millions of dollars a day, when it should not even have been started in the first place. If it had not happened, while the budget might still be a problem, it would not be the $9.5 trillion monstrosity that it currently is.
Also, don't put an extra line after quotes. It's bad for the health.
Unfortunately i can not vote in the poll. I live in Australia , and well the option to vote for an American president let alone a candidate is not an option for me. Though if i had the choice i would be behind Obama all the way. the democratic alternative is really Clinton and i feel that Hillary is just a little power hungry which could not be good for the world economy.

Good job to you guys for electing Rudd, though.
Also, I don't think Clinton being power-hungry is a particularly good indictment of her - anyone running for President is incredibly power hungry. You don't get to a position from which you can run for president without being power hungry.
Edwards has finally made his endorsement known and it's Obama but Hillary had this to say..."If you think that's going to make me give up trying to get John Edwards' endorsement, you've got another thing coming."

Oh, i voted for Howard first. I just love the work choices laws. Personally they were an amazingly good idea, the problem it did have was, bad education of how to correctly use work choices and workers being stupid while bosses being money hungry.
(I voted the Australian socialist republic second)
Please... Eddie Murphy had a routine in the late 80's where he parodied Jesse Jackson as president by running around on the stage to confuse the snipers. Part of that routine also involved jokes about drunk white guys going into the voting booth and voting for Jesse on a Lark only to wake up the next morning to the news of him winning.
Do a little digging and you can probably find that routine on the Internet.
“That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair, he's getting ready to speak,†said the former Arkansas governor, to audience laughter. “Somebody aimed a gun at him and he dove for the floor.â€Â
Serious bad taste. what I would like to know is if the audience laughter came in the middle or after the gun remark.
Eddie Murphy is a comedian. Huckabee is a possible VP candidate. Big difference between the sources, especially since the "joke" was at an NRA convention.

Agreed. Do we have audio? Can we hear if the audience laughed at the first part of the 'joke' or the later?
found but I can't get it to play on my work computer.
There was some silence in the crowd between the tripping and the gun line. I'd like to see a shot of the crowd while he was talking.

What does it matter how the crowd reacted? He said what he said and it is unacceptable. His political career should be over, but apparently conservatives are okay with a white candidate saying something racist, and not okay with a black candidate knowing someone who said some racist things.

No shit his carear should will be over after this. I don't think anyone on this forum will deny that. I simply wanted to see how the crowd reacted.

Viva La Revolution!
I have "lobbied" people in America to vote Barack though ...

Anyways, the political situation here is the same as for Omnutia. Though instead of an uninspiring prime minister we have Harry Potter.

Well hopefully this will help her realize that she has lost.
