  • Utena TV- Shi No Aphrodite, Zettai Unmei Mokushiroku with Banyuu Inryoku, Seijuku Nenrei Toumeiki, Hitomi No Naka No yokan, Yumir Miru Saibou, Pessimism, Tenderness and Aphrodite Scat.
Utena OST love. :D My favourite Utena BGM tracks are Shoujo Kakumei - Overture, Hikari Sasu Niwa - Illusion, Shi no Aphrodite, Passion, Kettoushatachi, Dios e no Inori, Panorama Ranman, Kokuhaku Shoukoushitsu - Kuusou no Warui Mushi, Tsumi no Kajitsu, Possession, Campas Dandy, and the one, the only, the porny... Akio Car. ;D Of the duel choruses, my favourites are Mikage's (Watashi Kuusou Seimeitai) and Akio's (Tainai Tokei Toshi Orrery). Other choruses I like almost as much are Utena's second, Keiko's, Wakaba's, Miki's second, and Nanami's second.
  • I listened to Mad Machine today again after listening to the "Bubblegum Crisis episode 8" episode of Fast Karate and what a great song that is. And now I am wondering what Dave would pay to have that song in Rock Band.
More money than there is numbers in the universe.
    There may be hope yet.

Pretty much all Super Eurobeat and m.o.v.e. songs in Initial D. Most of T.M.Revolution's work is excellent as well (Resonance in Soul Eater, Gundam Seed/Destiny openings, etc.).

I really enjoy Uninstall by Chiaka Ishikawa, the opening for Bokurano. DJShrapnel has a pretty good remix of it if you can stand listening to them. They have a pretty awesome take on Sorairo Days, of Gurren Lagann, on the same album. Pretty much everything Tsuneo Imahori and Yoko Kanno have done is great. I still can't listen to So Long Space Cowboy without shivering. More recently I've been into the music from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Oh, and the music from Paprika. Brilliant stuff.

    I just finished a massively self-indulgent series of YouTube videos showcasing my 250 favourite anime openings and endings. It was going to be a smaller list, but I ended up having too many songs that I would have felt bad not including in a list of my favourites. XD;;

The list was mostly for my sake, so in the interest of not spamming the board with over an hour's worth of song clips, I'll just post the two parts containing my top 50 here. If you're interested in the rest, they're easy enough to find on my channel.

  • "Ready, Steady, Go" from Fullmetal Alchemist got me into L'Arc~en~ciel.

Samurai Champloo holistically has a nice music feel. Bebop is a given.

I really liked the music from Witch Hunter Robin, particularly the piano sets like "STN-J" and "Harry's"

Some of the character themes from Death Note, like L's and Kira's, are pretty awesome

There are a bunch more that I can't think of right now.
  • Most of the stuff from Escaflowne and Initial D + the opening from Night Wizard.

  • Anything by Yuki Kajiura, her stuff is so eclectic I never get bored with it.
  • No love for Fire Bomber from Macross 7? Yoshiki Fukuyama is the man.
  • Another vote for Yoko Kanno's work on Bebop.

Love seconded. "Seventh Moon" is awesome. <3
  • I like various opener and closers from various anime including Naruto(GO!, No Boy No Cry, Seishun Kyousoukyoku), Eureka Seven (Days, I like the others it just that I got distracted see below.) and las but not least the original Gundam opener Tobe Gundam!.

found this while I was looking for shounen Hearts and I barely remember it.
  • I don't tend to like Anime music. However, I do like Cowboy Bebops opener.
  • I have a soft stop for this song

  • There are extracts of the new soundtrack to Hoshi o Ou Kodomo on YouTube. I think they are fantastic!

Also, I second Rym. That final musical cue in Escaflowne, especially, is incredible!
