  • The only person in that list I respect is Bernie Sanders :-p
  • Alan Colmes = Washington Generals.

Yes, you can hardly say that FOX should have any credit for having "liberals" like Colmes, Ferraro, or Sharpton. Fail.

The point remains unrefuted. Without context, any allegation is meaningless. Your admission that you respect Bernie Sanders is proof of this point. We can talk likelihoods, but we can't talk certainties.

Also... what did Juan Williams ever do to piss you guys off?

  • I wasn't actually refuting any point just pointing out that I only like bernie Sanders in that mix and maybe Juan Williams since I'm not horribly familiar with him
  • Here is the deal, everyone gets a boost in support when they annouce who they are going to run with, unless that person sucks. McCain just picked someone who is more interesting then he is, now his new supporters don't even care about him, they care about Palin. Notice noone is talking about McCain... (a picture from a recent rally showed "America respects McCain, Loves Palin" the Republicans have found their "Barack Obama" and they will get a bump but in a week or so it's going to be even again. What Democrats and Obama supporters should be doing is taking a chill pill and volunnteer with the campaign and stop talking about Palin unless it's something that has to do with issues.

I don't take this advise because I enjoy crazy stories :-p
  • White women are shifting for McCain. Obama has lost 20 points from this demographic!

McCain is leading with independents and his share of the Catholic vote has increased substantially.

Obama has been forced to try a new strategy when it comes to Palin. Even still, Americans prefer her to Biden.

Do I think that McCain will maintain his lead? No. But it's a least made this election interesting again!
  • Nah, a interesting election would be a democrat carrying away the election.. I mean if you look at the elections since 68.... They are fairly one sided.

Before the conventions, Obama and McCain were about even. Obama pulled ahead significantly during the DNC, and now McCain pulled ahead during the RNC.

The polls will only really matter once the dust from both conventions has settled, and both tickets have started campaigning full-on.
  • @Jason

Photobucket is blocked and normally I would wait to go home to see any blocked images. However, from looking at the image name, I emailed the link to my boyfriend and made him send me the image. XD Awesome.
  • Newsweek just published a story dispelling many of the rumors that have been circulating about Palin. Most of the rumors have been posted here. It's good reading if you value the truth.
  • I think a lot of the stuff going around about Sarah Pailin is being distorted and some people on the internet are just making stuff up. She did ask about banning books and try and fire the librarian, the false part of the rumor is that she actually banned books, and the list was clearly made up. Remember the post I have amount crazy E-mails with distorted facts, this is the type of E-mails that are going around about Sarah very similar to the ones going around about Obama. (Though I do not have any unfortunately to post in my thread). But don’t let a false list of banned books distract from the fact that she did try and fire the librarian in question and then hired her back the next day… hmmmm…

Also, just because she never changed her registration from republican party to the Alaskan independence party does not mean she was not part of the party. I have been registered republican for years in PA and I voted and volunteered for democrats the entire time. If I was a third party in PA I’d still registered one of the two major parties so I could vote in the primary and gain some of the advantages. Registration does not equal part of. Her Husband has been a member of the party and while they say “he only attended one convention….and Sarah Palin may or may not have attended the convention in the 90’s….” Sure, right…

Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
  • I have been registered republican for years in PA and I voted and volunteered for democrats the entire time.
Why are you registered as a Republican then? Is it just to vote in their primary? In my state, you don't actually register with a party. We have open primaries.
  • In my state, you don't actually register with a party. We have open primaries.
If New York had open primaries, I certainly wouldn't have registered as a Democrat...

I lived in a township that is run by a republican machine. My father is a republican committee member thus getting me onto committees in my hometown like the environmental advisory board. A good example of this is that Alaska is usually a really pro-republican state, to get anywhere in local government you have to be registered republican because of the republican machine, or try for years to get elected in the other party…. I’ve seen Greens and Libertarians run as democrats and republicans to get on the balet and get the backing of the major party because they did not have someone they wanted to run or figured they had no chance. It is common for people to switch/change/pretend to be another party.

  • Ebay Airplane?

Apparently her "I sold the government planes on E-bay" statement is a lie.... And dear god the deal the former governor had with the people he bought the Airplane from sucked ass, no wonder she beat him.

She did not say she "sold" it on eBay.

Hard to lie when she never said it. Check the quote again. She said she "put" it on Ebay. Misleading maybe, but definitely not a lie.

In any event, travel expenses under her regime went WAAAAY down from her predecessor.

I thought she was making a joke. Am I missing something important here?

Seriously, there's enough factual and significant problems with Palin. We don't need to quibble about bullshit like this or make up fake garbage to attack her.

What then, does "put it one eBay" mean, exactly?

Hmmm . . . looks like it was just a lie. McCain said that ist was sold on eBay and that it made a profit. Actually, it sat on eBay for a long time and cost the taxpayers of Alaska a lot of money.

What happened to all those economic experts who said McCain would be better for the economy? Greenspan is pretty much economy expert #1.

Prediction: Republicans will now start saying that Greenspan doesn't know what he's talking about.

I never thought I'd say this, but The View was really tough on McCain.
