If you want to make this argument, how about the mental damage McCain incurred as a POW? The psychological trauma alone has driven men mad, how do we know that McCain doesn't have deep rooted damage caused by warfare and torture?
I see no deep rooted damage. Have you ever heard the saying, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger". If anything, I think this experience has helped McCain gain a new perspective on how valuable life is. What great travesty did Obama go through that he had to take drugs? Did he fight in a war to defend our great country? Did he suffer being a POW? I rest my case.
