The discussion on the best song ever seems to have stagnated, so what do you all think are the best albums ever? I am of the belief that the best albums are (not nesesarily in this order) Tommy by the Who, Leviathan by Mastodon, Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin, Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles, and Boston by Boston.
Ugh. I guess I'm abnormal in that I can name off my favorite song ever without blinking(Dr. Worm - They Might Be Giants) but I could never pick one or even five favorite/best albums that I wouldn't rethink the next day. I listen to so much diverse stuff that it's so hard to place one thing over another, like a ska album over a metal album or a punk album over an electronic album.
Unless we're going to be facetious and take an unwavering stand, as was the thread's original intent. In which case the best album ever is Boys and Girls in America by The Hold Steady.

Welcome to the forum btw.
And I totally copped-out.
I'm only half-kidding.
The greatest song ever:
"Sh-Boom" by The Chords
EDIT: I had originally posted The Crew Cuts' version, but I personally think The Chords' version is superior.
If you don't like this song, something is wrong with you.
You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon.

Discuss.
Atmospheric in nature, exquisite in execution.
EDIT: Actually, that's tied with Dark Side of the Moon.
