Thomas Jefferson said this that really applies to this message, “Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fearâ€Â. That’s what we need in our lives in order to move forward, and many people are losing that. Trust in God.
I tried to Google to find where that was from; it seems he spelt it as "Devine". While I don't think the post was saying "Fear, that's what we need!", his misunderstanding of the quote in completely the opposite direction was hilarious.
Another choice quote: "Our founding fathers were not like that when Thomas Paine was an atheist, and Thomas Jefferson didn’t believe. They still make a Constitution based on Christian values."
"Our founding fathers were not like that when Thomas Paine was an atheist, and Thomas Jefferson didn’t believe. They still make a Constitution based on Christian values."
A recent atheist ad campaign has helped me define Christian values to any idiot who attempts to use that argument on me:
"The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.†--Hosea 13:16
If America based their Constitution on those values, I should probably leave.
"American Lesbian Women More Than Twice as Likely to Be Obese Than All other Female Sexual Orientation Groups - that's right. all of them, even more so than Kentucky-Friedsexual females."

I asked the lady I am courting if it would be ethical to post it on 4chan. She said: "go for it.DO EET, FGT"
FTFY. You know how to pick 'em; I agree with her. You may bring down a world of hurt on that kid, especially because he seems like he will feed the trolls. But, he is most certainly ignorant and in need of some learning, and really, who teaches tough lessons better than the Internet Hate Machine?
Due to my perverse fascination with fundamentalist nutcases and since FSTDT.com didn't provide me with enough material to cover my fix any longer, I've recently come about to join RationalWiki, which is more or less the anti-Conservapedia and actually originated out of that very site. It also has a nice "What is going on at Conservapedia" section, which is rather fascination. I think I actually by accident stumbled into quite a nice time to keep up with the bullshit and drama at conservapedia, as they are currently trying to sort out how to keep the frivolous and vindictive blocks and bans that certain sysops at CP have been handing out in check.
What has come about is that one they recently de-sysopped one of them named "Rob Smith" due to him being accused of various things and defamed by anonymous people. Rob Smith then went on to complain to the proprietor of CP himself, Andrew Schlafly and asked why he was de-sysopped despite the fact that the frivolous accusations by anonymous people couldn't possibly stand up on their own. Schlafly responded that in his site they would have to honor freedom of speech including the right to criticize others... and subsequently blocked Rob Smith for a month.
And then even better, another user named SamHB around the same time dared to harshly criticize one of the sysops (EdPoor) for driving out and blocking a contributing member for bizarre and ridiculous reasons. Then another admin deleted the whole thing and banned him for two days for "provoking a fight".
It's also quite hilarious to look at how people arrive at conservapedia. Often it is the case that they have been more or less pilloried and flogged for the unacceptable behavior on Wikipedia (such as vandalism and engaging in edit wars to promote their own personal ideology), so they swear revenge and join CP which already has their preferred ideology, type "christian-conservative nutcase". Here's an example, and another.

One thing is for sure, freedom of religion is definitely not a Christian value.
God I wish I could troll-edit this thing.
