  • The Annonasquamosais different from the Annonacherimola, well at least genetically. Also the Annona squamosa is like this:
Well, the fruit I'm talking about looks exactly like the Cherimola, but fair enough.
    Could it be Guanabana?

I meant the outside appearance, but those are entirely fascinating looking fruit.
  • Oh my fucking god Guanabana is so delicious.

EDIT: Wow, it took me forever to realize that I posted that in the wrong thread.

    Blood-and-tongue is pretty weird.

  • Ground up moose head jelly.
  • Chicken fingers. I was all like, "What kind of a chicken has fingers? I thought they had talons. This must be a rare, magical chicken. I'm eating rare, magical chicken!"
  • I had bone marrow last night during dinner. It was surprisingly quite delicious.

These are my favorite sushi thingies. Sea urchin and salmon roe, both with raw quail eggs on top. Those are probably the strangest things I've eaten. Although, I have had to eat a lot of raw herbs, spices, oils and such as part of my chef training that you should never actually eat raw because they taste horrifying (and eating things never intended to be eaten raw and unaccompanied might be considered strange). I'm told it's important to know this sort of thing to be a chef, but my alternative theory is simply that my instructor gets her jollies watching students writhe in food-induced pain.
