Official OTAKON 2009 Meet-Up Thread
The Otakon 2009 thread got a bit out of hand, so I made a new thread to organize the meet-up next weekend.
I think Scott tweeted about doing it in between the GeekNights panels on Saturday, after Anime You Should See at 5:15 pm to Beyond Dungeons & Dragons at 6:45 pm. The problem I foresee is Rym/Scott talking to fans for a while after the first panel, so...
I'd propose a new time, maybe 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday. Not sure when everyone else is free though.
Let's discuss!
Comments
Also, speaking of Viga: if I can fit an outfit in my suitcase, I may be able to gothloli it up with you!
EDIT: And Alex, your OP/ED panel is on my list of must-see events. ♥
I'd also propose Saturday from 8:00 pm to 9:30/10:00 pm.
Here is my Otakon Schedule. If anyone is going to any and/or all these panels, tell me so I can find you!

The Friday time gets in the way of an awesome looking show...I could potentially blow it off, but I feel like I would be missing something awesome. It's the Whose Line is it Anime show. I love Whose Line is it Anyway, so seeing that with Anime themes sounds pretty funny to me. Although it really depends entirely on the humor of those involved...
EDIT:Also if anyone wants to, I can bring like a tin full of Gojira films and we could watch them anywhere that fits Otakon's Japan theme...maybe I should go to a con and ask if they want a large amount of godzilla films to be shown in a theatre.
If it works for everyone else, then I'll be fine with it.
So is 5 - 7 on Fri definite? We shall. That's why Li said we should trade numbers pre con. That way we could text. If not I'm sure we will run into each other. All of us somehow.
Also, Fri 5-7 is splendid for me. Lordyupa, doesn't Fred Schodt have another signing block on Sunday? I don't have the schedule in front of me, but that's what I remember.
EDIT:Also, I'll act as Official Photographer of the events that take place there and upload them to my Flickr for everyone to see!!
The where seems to be Poe's graveyard almost unanimously at this point as well.
If Scrym has anything to add to/change about this, then hopefully they will soon.
Just to recap, 5 - 7 PM, initial meet-up at the Otacafe and heading to Poe's grave from there (hopefully with someone who knows the way there). Just need to know: does anyone know where exactly will the Otacafe be yet, or is that going to be printed later in the con guide?
